New GM Dexron VI Transmission Fluid

GM has been using Dexron VI as the factory fill transmission fluid in some cars and trucks since mid year 2005. According to their tech. info., Dexron VI may be used in all earlier GM transmissions that require Dexron,Dexron IIE,or Dexron III fluid.

Has anyone found Dexron VI fluid in the auto parts stores yet,or is it only available at GM dealer parts counters?

After doing more research,I found the answer to my question.
GM currently holds the licensing for Dexron VI,so it's only available through their dealers and parts network.I found the best price at GM Parts Direct.The P/N is 88861045 priced at $10.82 per gallon.
