    1999 Pontiac Firebird

    My tranny

    alright i called bout gettin my tranny rebuilt an i assumed i had the 4l60e but the guy said it wasnt...so what tranny do i have in my 1999 firebird it has the 3.8 motor with an automatic? and what the best additive to help your tranny to stop slippin? and the guy said it would cost 1950 plus tax to rebuild mytranny an thats with a new torque converter i dont think that sounds to good but i dont know anything bout transmissions except for how to change my fluid an filter.

    yes you have a 4l60E. Shop around, you may find a cheaper rebuild price.

    4l60e FOR SURE the price is a lil high but it depends on the average of your area. definetly shop around
