Launching an A4 tran fbody?
What is the technique? Stall it? How? I've been driving manuals for about 5-6 years and forgot to drive/launch an automatic when racing.
BTW, this is on a stock A4, 2.73 rear.

Mine seems to do best like this:
Put the left foot down pretty good on the brake.
Put the right foot on the gas.
Torque it up to around 1000-1100rpm
When it's time to go, let off the brake and ease the gas to the floor.
It's been good for 2.0 60's on Goodyear Eagle F1's.

Best advice is to experiment with different techniques. Different track hook very differently ... some will allow you to stall up against the converter and dead hook, while other will result in pure tire smoke. Start with going from idle and progress to MarkuzLS1's suggestion. If needed, line up behind cars running slicks and do a decent (not john force style) 3 second burnout on their burnout groove. This has helped my car dead hook even on slippery tracks.

go and play man thats the only way you are going to learn. it just dont sound like you have the tire to stall it up just roll into it and you will be fine
