im new and need help

i just got a 95 camaro with the lt1. has some mods. but when going to excell motor does what it needs to and tranny does nothing at all. drive it like a little old lady and all is fine. y cant i punch it? is it the stall converter? please help me.

Do you mean that it will not kick down?

i think he is trying to say that if he punches it the car won't move, but if he slowly accelerates then it moves. Have you checked the tranny fluid level? When was the last time it was flushed?
