The mechanic said today that it would cost $2100 to rebuild my tranny, and thats the reason why it slips out of gear under WOT

I think I'll just buy a performance tranny from performabuilt, that can handle the HP I have.

My tranny has been rebuilt once, and its obvious that the OEM can't handle the power the cam kit and other mods have done to it. I'm not rebuilding it again.

$2100? Is he insane? I paid $1000 to have mine built, not stock rebuilt but BUILT. It has had many bottles of spray ran through it since then with no windows switch, just spraying through the shifts and everything and it is holding up great. The guy who built it has a STS turbo TA that runs mid 10s on the same build he did for me. I don't see where 2100 could come from. You should add an aftermarket tranny cooler if you don't have one already, even with a stock stall

do you have a GOOD additional tranny cooler installed, or just the factory one in the radiator? Not enough cooling with a big stall will definitly cause your problem

I have two external coolers and don't use the factory cooler that's in the radiator

Get a hayden, 1404 or 1405. I have a 1404 and 1405, lols. If you get the big one (1405) don't mount it in front of the radiatior, it will block too much flow.

It's probably going to need to be built considering it hasn't had an external cooler and you have a stall, I'm not an expert though. I had a cooler on mine and took it off for no good reason, and two trips to the track later mine started doing exactly what yours is. Putting a cooler back on it helped a little, but I still ended up having to get it built. Definitly don't spend $2100 on a rebuild though, that's insane.
