    Hi guys I thinking of goin a4

    I have a t56 now but I'm putting alot of work into my car and my biddy tells me every time I see him to go auto but I love my 6 speed but when it comes to launching autos the way to go so my question to you guys is that what will it take for me to switch and is it going to get pricey cuz I have to rebuild my t56 anyway to stage three for what I'm putting into the engine so a lil help plz guys inform me on what I should do

    I see this as another epic manual vs. automatic thread! Lots of opinions. I think since you already drive the M6, keep it since you would probably miss it. For a daily driver especially. If you want consistent times at the drag strip, you'd probably want the AT, and it would get a bit pricey to switch, tho it is easier to go to AT from MT versus the other way.

    Yea true I'll miss my m6 but I wouldn't mind as much if I get that type of trans were I manually put it 1,2,3, w/ a 4od.

    So can some one give me a rough estimate on what I may need and how much the parts are. Oh and how would my car know when to shift? I guess I need a comp. Out of an auto ss

    Oh I'm sry dude I wasn't looking to purchase anything just yet but it's def something I wanna do hopefully after I get my parts in the engine but thank you and if by some miracle I can get it sooner I'll pm ya to see if you still have but for thank you.
