Gearbox solutions

Ok so i have done a little research, and my conclusion is this No one in Australia that i have asked can give me a straight answer, which is can i Put a 6L90 or 6L80 e on the back of my Gen 3 In my VY SS. and exactly what model from 2008 does it come out in also how do i know exactly that is the gearbox i know that it is a 6 speed auto compared to the 4L60 e And i was going to go back to the old style turbo 400 but decided not to would be better off with the 6l90e can anyone really tell me how much trobz i will have getting one as i have read so many different things on the 4L60 and decided that its only worth throwing to the tip.

What im asking for On the side of the 4L60 gearbox it has that exact nuber there the diff between that and the 4L80 is the amount of sump bolts there are im pretty sure one has 16 the other has 17 being that of the 4L80e correct but does the 6L90 e have a number on the Side of it..
