Make sure the brake light switch is ok ( not touchy ),,, If you tap the brake pedal while excellerating, it will slip the convertor, which is normal.

When my car got tuned, the tuner told me i was loosing a ton of power up top cus my converter would just unlock at high rpms and thinking back mine kinda did what you are talking about. It could be more of a computer related issue. I would take the opportunity to just have it tuned now and see what happens from there.99 TA-T56 swapped, Lid, TB Bypass, LS6 Intake, !EGR, !AIR, Custom Cam, Mids, O/R-Y, 3:73s, Cutout, Flowmaster.

I would agree that a converter radonly locking and unlocking is a tuning issue, ENGINE MISSFIRE COMES TO MIND.
