Best Stall for 02 DD?
Im looking to stay under $500. Also the car will prob never see the track, im just looking to pick up some performance around town. Is a 2800 or 3000 stall to small? whats the best brand for my price range?

I just put in a new tci 3600 stall in my DD ta.I love it.You'll not be disappointed.I can get it to brake stall at about 3000 to 3200 rpm before it breaks the tires loose.

Lots of people have 3600s in DDs... mine locks at 32 mph... so really doesn't affect much...

2800-3600 is a good DD stall.
Whatever you decide, go one higher. After about a week or so, you will get used to it and wished you had went larger.Black 1999 Blown Convertible A4

I dont' think I lost all that much.. maybe one or 2.. but hard to say as I swapped my gears very soon after... now THATS where I am losing mileage....

I get about 15/16 in town and 23+ on the highway. I think you lose about 3-4 MPG in town driving. You will see little to no change with highway driving MPG. Originally Posted by 02bluez28

Stall didn't decrease mine much at all the gears did a bit though even thoug I still get better than just about all full size Gas burning SUV's.
