    Anyone have a write up on a trans temp gauge?

    I can'r remember where but I saw some instructions on how and what parts are needed. Think it was at summit or jegs. They sell some parts for adding a temp gage to a trans in a kit and the instructions were on the web site. It was done throught the trans pan thought.

    Thanks. I'll dig around on Summit and Jegs and see what I can find. I was hoping I wouldn't had to do anything in the pan but oh well. Thanks for the info.

    there is another way you can tap into one of the cooling lines but I have not personally done this and don't have a link to a write up.

    Damn, that sounds like the info I'd be looking for. Maybe someone who's done it will see this and post how they did it.

    There is a 1/8 NPT port located on one of the sides of the transmission about half way up the case, that is where the sensor should go.

    I put a deep pan on my trans and bought a drain plug kit drilled a hole in the pan installed the drain plug and put the temp sensor in the new hole. Hope that helps you.

    Im about to do a Trans Temp Gauge with my Stall and cooler install. ill help write up a good install when i start it. Should be some time REALLY soon. Waiting on some ARP torque convert bolts then it ON!
