    4L60E wrong TC

I bought 2001 5.3, and then found a 4L60E I think 2002 and the tranny lacks a 1/2" of bolting up to the motor. Is this just the wrong converter or what. Its going in a jeep thats a daily driver and some offroad use Thanks for any info. Gary

Hey Gary, welcome to the site.
What exactly is the problem? Is the trans 1/2" away from the motor and won't slide on any further? Maybe the torque converter isn't seated all the way in the trans

yes i think you need to fully seat the TC ... also the torque convertor's nose needs to mate to the crank's pilot hole..if i had to guess...i bet you just need to get it matted..

My jeep is in Nashville and I saked if he turned the tc to seat it and he did, so I guess we'll find out something today from the trans shop.
    Thanks, Gary
