    4000 stall converter shift pts.

Got a pt 4000 yank converter on the way and of course I'm sending the comp. out to get 're-tuned(frost). Not sure where he's gonna put the shift points. It shifts at 5500 now with all Boltons and 3.73 gears. Will he put them around 6000 or should I ask him to or what? Heads and cam are still stock, 98 camaro. Whats the highest rpms it can take, or what would be best?

if you're still on the stock valvetrain I would recommend keeping the stock shift points. If you swap the valvetrain down the road then you can raise them. Just not worth the risk on stock springs to rev higher than stock rpms.

the stock cam is pretty much done at that rpm anyhow.....you may get a touch more but most likely you just come a step closer to floating the valves. Just not worth it in my opinion.

6,200 but that's just me. Should have been shifting around 6 from the factory?
