350 turbo trans swap
i have a 1995 camaro with a 4l60e trans and i am thinking of putting a 350 turbo trans in the car. i was wondering what all i would have to do to make it work. thanks

1st question is: Why? TH350 has a 2.52 1st gear vs 4L60 having a 3.06. TH350 = no OD gear.
While it can be done unless this is a dedicated race car the swap just doesn't make sense.67 Camaro: K-K + 797-z (look it up), 454/Th400/4.10 12-bolt = 6mpg, PS/PDB/PW tilt, tach, gauges...
2005 Corvette LS2/M6 Magnetic Red Metallic (What else would it be?) w/ Cashmere interior
2002 Z28: NBM/Tan, MTI smooth lid, smooth bellows, !AIR, !cats, 1-3/4" QTP SS LT's, 2-1/2" TD's with X-pipe, MagnaFlows dumped at axle, custom welded SFC's, MidWest Chassis body mount adjustable T/A, 3400 stall, 3.23 gears (was 2.73). Tuned: 343rwhp/357rwt (before TD's). Best: 12.559 @ 108+, 1.73 60' @ 3500' DA w/MT ET Street DR's.

my 4l60e trans is shot and i happen to have a 350 turbo ready to go. this car is a weekend car. not a every day driver. i have a none lock up converter i plan on using with the trans. i am wondering if the trans mount and drive shaft will work

i have been running the car with no first gear with the same style converter for a while and it still comes out the hole good

Trany will bolt right up, drive shaft will have to be made or altered, (iirc) the TH350 is shorter than the 4L60e..
So there may be more needed than just an altered DS.
It's been ~30 years since a Camaro with the TH350 was built,
so you'll likely have to do something different with the trany cross member, and torque arm..
You can always change rear gears to overcome the 2.52 takeoff we're only talking roughly a little over half a turn or 0.54 difference..
