2500 stall
if i put a 2500 stall in my t/a is it worth it?? thanx for any suggestions

2500 is way too small IMO, you'll want more.

I was told bt TCI and thunder racing to go with a 2800 stall for my 02 DD. Everyone else fuddle, yank, PI told me to go with a 3400...
Im either gonna go 3000 or 3200 myself

My Toy 00 Z28 1SC A4 - MS3 cam with supporting valvetrain, Milled LS6 heads, LS7 lifters, , ARP rod and mains, All free mods, pacesetters, True duals, moser 9 with 4.11's and Detroit Locker, Vig 3600 tuned, tubular SFC,adj PHR, LCA, adj TA, PHR reloc, LCA reloc. all with poly bushings, ZR1's and Nitto DR's (315).
My other toy 05 GTO LS2 M6- Comp XR269HR cam, 918's, hardened pushrods, Dart Pro 1's, pacesetters, X-pipe, flowmaster 1 chambers, TSP oil pump, Tick master cylinder. Pedders RR bushings, end links, SB bushings, tie rods and strut mounts, total performance poly F&R bushings. Polk DVC 12", Infinity Kappa 6.5 component and 6x9's with corresponding amps.
Her toy 77 F100-6.6/c6. All original (for now)

i have the tci 3000 is it pretty much drives like stock, great stall converter!

i ended up going with a vigilante 3200 stall.. 224/224 comp cam, ported and polished 241 heads, and an slp underdrive pulley.. and all associated upgrades.. thanx for the help

Installing it all at once or part by part? If you do it at once it will feel like you traded in on something else. Nice parts list.

thanx.. its all gonna be installed at once.. it will be like a whole new car.. i also got subframe connectors, and arp head bolts , it already has slp headers and a lid.. so i cant frickin wait

Stock stall speed is about 1800. I don't think you'd really gain much going to 2500. Go at least 3000. I went 3500. I'd recommend 3200-3500.

put a 2800 stall in my brothers 71 chevy pickup and it didnt make much difference over stock. changed it out for a 3500 and it made all the difference in the world. he is only running about 400hp so 2500 in a stock ls1 wouldnt be too big. i agree it isnt worth the expense of having it installed
