Flowtechs are definaetely not the best. For a $300 mild steel header, look to Pacesetters instead.

SLPs are the worst long tubes out there. Flowtechs are only about a notch above them. There are many more better options than Flowtechs.

so pacesetters are going to be the best bang for the buck?
and is there a certain set I should get, and as far as ORYs go there basically all the same right? So I could go with a flowtech ory

ORYs are not all the same.

Pacesetters probably are the best bang for the buck, but they shouldn't be confused with being a top tier header either, they are a good middle of the pack header at an affordable price.

What would exactly make one header better than the other?
As far as performance reliability and fitment go?

Between a ceramic coated and just painted, i live in Utah and it is very very dry here how bad would painted header be affected over time?
and the car is only out during the summer so it doesn't hardly any rain and no snow at all.

The coated headers will last quite a bit longer than painted headers. They help to keep engine temps down as well. I would strongly recommend coated over painted.

I have the coated Pacesetter lts,I have zero complants about the headers, they are awesome, spend the extra on the coated ones you really don't want to go through the trouble of a header install and have rusty headers a few years down the road.

An ory from one company will not fit headers from another company.

Texas speed ory will fit the pacesetter headers,if I could do it over that is the ory I would use, better merge and about $20 bucks cheaper that a pacesetter ory also.

you will gain about 20hp to the wheels if you get it tuned. not sure how much before tune. it will also make it much louder. especially with your catback

dont worry about it man...by the way i dont think it is so funny about his questions...as there are custom loudmouth cat backs..you have magnamouths, bolramouths and a slew of others...so i dont see what is so funny...200 bones is fine for long tubes fine.

welcome to the site fridge ...feel free to ask more questions...just make sure you do it in your own thread you make.

the only reason there are painted headers is for storage..that paint will burn off extremely quickly and is only used to prevent rusting and damage from storage.
