    Y-pipe

If I want to replace my catalytic converters on my 01 ws6 stock exhaust do I need to buy a new y-pipe as well?

The pipe design was changed in 2000.

'01 has the newer design, the y pipe bolts up to flanges on either side aft of the cats. You should not have to purchase a new y pipe to replace the cats, as long as you use direct replacement cats.

Replace them? With High Flow ones, or just take them out? You do not have to replace the ORY, but may have to fabricate a bit depending on what you are doing.

He said he has stock exhaust...so there's no ORY. No you don't need to buy a new y-pipe freshduckie....pull the old ones out and put new ones in.

    Thanks for the replys,

Does anyone have dimensions on stock cats, I was going to put in two universal Magnaflow carsound cats and want to make sure they fit.

But really I can just unbolt the old ones and bolt new ones in?

    Thanks

    Doug
