LM1 with long tube headers is going to be extremely loud and probably raspy. Since your car is newer than 99, they probably don't do a visual check, just OBDII computer plug in.
If so, you can run LTs, a Y-pipe or ORY, and keep your cats or delete them. However, if you delete the cats, you will have to get the rear O2 sensors tuned out in order to pass emissions.

ok ill talk to my exhaust guy i know a couple places that as long as it will pass emissions i ca get a sticker....so i can delete the cats i just have to have them tuned out?
also after everything is done i want to have it tuned should i use frost?
what are there prices and how long will my car be down?

Best if you talked to Frost directly....but the charge is $125 for his mail order tune I believe and the turn around time is pretty nil in most cases I've seen. You basically mail your PCM to him, he tunes it based on your mods, and mails it back to you. Simple and easy.
And yes, the rear O2 sensors need to be tuned out without cats on the cars. When you remove the cats, the SES light will come on since you no longer have the correct voltage output from your rear O2 sensors showing that your cats are doing their job. A tune can make there be a false constant voltage reading, fooling the computer, making the computer think that everything is fine....in a nutshell.

If the rear O2 sensors are tuned out, it will pass. If you don't get them tuned out, it will not pass. Your SES light will be on without having them tuned out so emissions will not even test your car with the light on.

sounds good...ohhh also have you heard any reviews on the volant CAI? or should i just stick with a lid

no comment on that. Seen more people with lids though. You may want to try using the search function of the site...probably several threads on it already. If you can't find anything, start a new thread.

I personally think a lid looks cleaner.

As far as performance, you aren't going to see any significant difference among any of them. Probably the most important deciding factor is fitment. Some people have fitment issues with the SLP lid. Might steer away from it. Check out our sponsors for lids, you really can't go too wrong with any lid.

Yeah I just need to find a good inspector so I don't get the wrong info all the shops around here have gotten cheap labor with no skills so any work you get is "questionable"
