Will I have problems installing a CAT back on a WS6? 3" pipe.

A regular TA has smaller than 3 inch pipes for exhaust, right?

Since the WS6 already has 3 inch pipes will this cause any problems installing a CAT back? Or will the cat back pipe slip right over a 3 inch factory pipe.

I've never heard any complaints about this, so I just thought I'd ask.

    Thanks.

the only difference from a regular t/a and a ws.6 is the hood, wheels, and i think shocks.

identical exhaust setups for all ls1 f-bodys, so you will be fine

The I Pipe diameters are the same 2.75" the only real difference is a slightly less restrictive muffler and polished round tips.
The `98 system had a single 3" exit pipe on the drivers side w/ a 3.5" tip
this is the only factory WS6 system that flows better.

You are going to be installing a cat-back so you are eliminating the 2-3/4 intermediate pipe, so there will be no problem.

YEP! Almost Exact exhaust from Z28/formulas and SS/WS6
The ONLY difference from those 2 are that the tips are nice and polished and the muffler on the SS/WS6 are smaller... ever notice the nicer rumble from a SS over a Z28 OR a WS6 over a formy? I only notice the muffler sizes b/c my sister has a 02 WS6 and I installed SLP LM cat-backs on both of them. I'm thinking about putting her stock cat-back onto my 89 RS D.D. with my stock Z28 tips.

The only problem I've ever heard of when installing cat-backs is sometimes on the 4inch systems... if you don't have the pipes angled correctly when going over the axle, you might get a clunck when going over bumps and dips in the road, though again, you could get that with any multi piece cat-baci i suppose...
