will exhaust dumps on left right side sound funny?
i decided i want to rid my car of any visible exhaust tips. so i cut them as far back as i could, and put in some turn downs, but you can still see the drivers side, so now it just looks like a v6 car. lol
i want to cut them both right after the axle where it splits to two pipe on my slp caback. i attached a picture of where i want to cut and put the turn downs.
my question is will it sound wierd if both pipes are on the same side of the car? i guess GTOs have the pipes next to each other. if it will still sound fine, im gonna chop em tomorrow. it actually sounds better with the turndowns than the SLP tips, little more rumble being under the car i guess.
here is the pic. green lines are where i will cut and install turndowns.

Well, if you can pass inspection(if you have them in your state) and are not prone to headaches, then go for it.

It might look a little weird with 2 dumps right there, just cut it before the axle and put 1 dump there?

that looks nice, but i dont want to have to weld anything under there. kinda wanted to use existing hangers.

Impulse Blurr- 2004 GTO
I agree. Plus the sound reflecting off of the ground is gonna be LOUD inside. I had toyed with the idea of exiting the exhaust on the drivers side just before the rear tire like an old school Can Am setup but the ground clearance seemed a little low. One thing that's nice about routing it out of the drivers side is that you can hear if it's breaking up.
