We actually like raspy. It's all personal preference. This discussion can go on until everyone is blue in the face. Some like it and some don't, who cares. Do what you want with your own car, thats why you paid for it,,,right?
    LM2 isn't near the same as LM1. LM2 has a muffler lol

I wanted my car too sound good...

No experience with the LM2 though.
But this thread isn't really about the LM2.

Still upset over the cutout argument I see...Well TD's are two exhaust pipes and a catback is one exhaust pipe that turns into two. So no, one is not the same as two.

Eh,,,loudmouth 1 or loudmouth 2,,,I have them both, not a huge difference between the 2 anyway, either would apply here.

Actually they are the same,,,,I wouldn't call the loudmouth II a muffler. It's actually the loudmouth 1 bullet style pipe the only real difference is the loudmouth II has a small amount of perferated pipe inside the bullet to muffle the sound slightly, but it's still not a real muffler, there is no packing at all,,,,,but both are still loud,,,,I have both the bullet 1 and bullet II "mufflers" for the loudmouth system,,,not a huge difference between both.

This is the exhaust I recommend over any other single pipe system. It's the only single style system I have ever used or seen out there that offers more real time performance over the other single systems.

Short of going with a real dual exhaust system, this is the best setup out there, so long as you go with the 4 inch piping.

    Loud doesn't bother me.

Rasp does. Hence why I ditched the LM.

I loved my L/M and Headers at idle and cruising, but running through the gears that rasp was just too much noise for me and I like em loud.

I have to agree with you. I had the Mufflex/Spintech 4" System on my last LT1 with SLP Long Tubes and Random Tech Cats, and it sounded beautifully. Extremely aggressive without being obnoxious is the best way I could describe it. I also ran the Loud Mouth system with FLP Long tubes in '04 and it sucked. Ridiculous rasp and interior noise. Didn't last two weeks before it was replaced for a B&B Tri-Flo system. The Tri-Flo had the best sound i've ever heard.

I push Magnaflow. Not high priced and they make the power as well.

I do agree that the SLP systems add the power.
But with just LT's they get very raspy. Add a cam, and they sound like mine did in the first post of this thread.

Some like it, some don't. I am not a fan of rasp. I like loud.
Mine now is clean and loud.
Cutouts open it sounds like it will eat your pets.

I think it sounded fine, the noise an engine makes when revving in nuetral and while actually under load is considerably different.

I did watch it all... it just doesn't bother me... but then again after I'm cammed I plan on running an electric cutout and a quiet exhaust for the shock factor of opening the cutout
