Where to buy True Dual w/X Pipe

I have used the search and not yeilded what I am looking for.

I am trying to find places to buy a set of true dual for my 2002 Z28
The only place I come up with is Texas Speed, they cant be the only place that sells them, where did you all get them from, and where I live I doubt I can get a custom set built being no cats involved.

Where did you get them and what do you think about the set you got, what kind of clearance issue do you have if any, I am wanting dumps before the axle, I currently have LT with a y-pipe to a bullet and that is it and it sound mean as he!! I just wanting to upgrade to an x with duals

I think some ppl go to Bassani, or something like that.

Most use Texas Speed, as did I. Good quality, great fit. I had no clearance issues at all, though I've come to believe I'm the exception to the rule.

Here's a side/bottom pic to illustrate my clearance.

LOL, I have LTs too. I guess I just got lucky with my setup.

Try loosening all the bolts, then jacking up the muffs and remounting them, then tightening the bolts back up.

I actually have enough room to go another half inch or so but I don't want to be too close to the fuel lines.

Bassani makes a 2.5" true duals kit, with an x crossover, over the rear axle and out the stock locations. They bolt up to 00-02 cats, so if you have headers you'll have to fab up the connection there. They run about $780. Mrr23 has some good pics here of his: http://www.stealthram.com/bassanidualexhaust.htm And a sound clip here: http://www.vincihighperformance.com/...ssanisound.wmv . The Bassani kit tucks up real well, and looks nice and clean. He talked me into my Bassani duals, and I love them. Best mod I've done so far. Some exhaust shops can do it, but most want to run duals under axle or dumped before the axle.

The Texas Speed setup dumps before the axle. It's much louder, and has more interior drone. The Bassani kit has no interior drone. Depends on what you prefer...
2002 WS6 Trans Am, A4, SLP lid, P&P TB, 3500 stall, 24K GVW tranny cooler, HPTuners, Pacesetter LTs, Bassani dual exhaust with 'x' crossover, coolant bypass, sealed airbox to hood.

If there's a good muffler shop in your area they can usually custom make an x pipe for you and build your td set up as well.

Before my Bassani duals, with a lid, 285/40ZR17 Eagle F1GS-D3 tires, coolant bypass and ported throttle body I was running 13.05@112, with no spinning going WOT from the line. After the Bassani (on stock manifolds & cats) I dropped to 12.88@110, but with a lot of wheel spin at feathered throttle. With better traction I'm sure my ET would have been closer to 12.7 and mph would have been at least 115.

No rasp, no interior drone. Here's a video I made right after the Bassani install, on stock cats and manifolds. http://s217.photobucket.com/albums/c...nt=Bassani.flv

I have since added a 3500 stall, Pacesetter LTs, and high flow cats. Have more traction issues now, but have yet to get a new ET. I want to address the wheel spin first with some SFCs, LCAs & reloaction brackets, possibly followed by some wider wheels and tires on the rear...

For you guys with the TSP TD how do they hang in the rear, do you have to weld hangers or is it a simple bolt on?

They bolt up above the rear axle, in the back seat area of the cabin.
