What is the top line connecting too? I have always looked at catch cans and the routing... I need one badly. Just another damn piece of money going out. I see where the lower line is going... but where is the top line COMING from?

Yes. This helps keep your valves and intake clean and entire engine in better shape.
The top line runs to the pcv valve. I would also replace the stocker with the fixed orifice new style valve.
Might as well completely rebuild it as well. That rubber rots easily. 3/8 fuel line is all you need and some simple fittings
