Thanks for the info "firebirdjones". That helps out. I talked to an exhaust shop about it and they said the same thing. I guess it really doesn't come into play unless you are doing internal engine upgrades and such. I'm not quite ready to do that yet. Again, thanks.

this is what im hopeing to work out. i have the slp lm2, but im getting a little tierd of it. so a while ago my friend wrecked his 01 ws6, he had the borla catback on it. he took the muffler out and gave it to me, so what i want to do is take the resonator out and put a straight pipe all the way before it goes over the axle.

Then ima have to cut were the right piping is, right under the gas tank and place the muffler there. i hope it works if it doesnt then ima just run straight pipe.

Not a problem. The car we actually did all this on was pretty modified though. What it really came down to in the end was the type of sound you were after, which boiled down to muffler choice,,,although different pipe diameters changed the sound a bit though. The mufflex system with it's sewer size pipe sounded unreal,,,of course it performed the best out of all of them, with both mufflers we tried. We chucked that up to it's sheer advantage of pipe size over the other systems tried.
