What MAF sensor H / C and all the other BS car?

What MAF sensor for H / C and all the other BS car?
my 98 has heads (TSP PRC 2.5 5.3l) cam (TSP 228R) FAST 92mm intake, nick Williams 92mm, headers, 4000 stall, SLP lid, 9 rear-end 3.73 gears, and all the other supporting modes we try just to keep the rust off the wrenches
But I still have the stock (de-screened by previous owner) MAF, any idea what I should do with this bottle neck if anything? I know this is a pretty common build; Id like to know your thoughts.
    Thank you as always.

    98 T/A w/a little mods...

Most will go with the Corvette MAF (IIRC it's 85mm). I've only heard nightmares with aftermarket MAFs when it comes to tuning.

You also have the option of Speed Density tune.

go speed density and be done with it.......that's what I did. Kinda similar mods to yours.....pcr heads, 228R, 3500 stall, ect ect. Ran fine on stock MAF but definitely a little better without it.

That's what I'm doing. I'm at sea level so DA doesn't change much unless a Hurricane comes through.

You would be fine with a GM replacement MAF. Unless they have changed something, it is an 85 mm unit (stock I believe is 78 mm) with a plastic body and an adapter harness. A MAF measures actual airflow into the engine and adapts better to changes in air pressure and density. A speed density tune eliminates the MAF and airflow is estimated by using the engine rpm and the MAP sensor readings.

This is the GM replacement MAF which I run on our car:

Speed density and be done with it. We have drastic elevation changes here from 10,000 feet to near sea level and I have no issues. I tune it to be just a tad fat here at 5,000 ft (shoot for about 12.5-12.6 AFR) and leave it be. Should tune it a little on the fat side anyway since we all use at least 10% ethanol fuels.
