What to Get??
i cant decide what i should buy, a Volant CAI or an SLP loudmouth

if you have stock intake and exhaust now, get a lid and a catback, good combo to start.

the loudmouth 1 has a more raw sound to it. the loudmouth 2's is a deeper smoother sound. the volant is probably one of the best CAI's you can get. i would go for the exhaust first tho. thats what i did. both add about the same horsepower.

the long tube headers are really loud on the loudmouth 1's but the 2's would be fine with long tubes.

Exhaust first. The car will sound a lot meaner than putting on a CAI.
Here's the only problem with the Volant CAI and I found out firsthand. If your getting the cold air box, it does seal the box from the engine bay when the hood comes down so yes it's not pulling hot air from the engine bay. However, there really isn't anywhere for the air to get sucked from when the hood is latched down. The Volant CAI box was designed more for Ram Air hoods. You can drill holes to let more air in, but you will want to invest in a Ram Air hood if you do decide to go with the Volant.
