    2002 Trans Am WS6

    Question What do you think?

    I’m looking to mod my summer daily driver (2002 Trans Am). I would love to get the car doing mid to low 12’s on street tires.

    What do you think of this?
    • Comp Cam (525 532 216 220)
    • 1.75 Comp Cam Roller Rockers (Spring?)
    • Chrome or ceramic BBK ¾ length headers (reuse stock cats)
    • Tune

    If the above didn’t get me to where I want to be I would look at heads and throttle body next. I’m considering Edelbrock Heads (non-ported) and Edelbrock throttle body.

    you will want hardened pushrods and beef up your springs too while your at it. if you go rockers and cam...you will need headers with a cam and rockers ext. You also want to go Long tube headers...its your best bet. If your driving a A4 then a stall will drop around .2-.5 off of your time. Dont mess with your throttle body bud. stock can handle up to 500 hp.

    look at some gears, they will give you alittle more torque and should help your trap alittle.
    damn i want some 4:10s......

    rear gears (3.73 for A4 4.10 for M6) full exhaust, pullies, and a lid should get u in the 12,s

    ........close. gears and a stall will...but with the gears and the pullies it will be pretty damn hard to keep traction..but yea fack the lid and exhuast..the pullies and grears alone with driver skill will creep you in to the 12s. personally i'd wait on the gears and go the stall route if you got a A4.

    you have the power to go 12's w.o the cam. suspension will knock more off ur et than power.

    I'm looking to do mid to low 12’s on street tires in the TA (M6). The TA is a summer daily driver, I want great throttle responce, and I want the car to pass emissions testing in Ontario.

    I think I want to start with the TS setup mentioned above and am now also considering pullies.

    What do you think of these two cams:

    I have gone 12.7 with a lid, drag radials and cutout and a 1.8 60' (6spd as well)

    With some suspension mods (v6 springs and sfc's) I think I'll be able to get to the 12.4's-.5's.

    More power is fun dont get me wrong, but a properly set up suspension and a good driver are the best bang for your buck. And hey who cares if you go 12.5 at 118 right?!?

    I'd go with the 228. But before you buy, take a look under Internal Engine "LS1 to LS6" You can get all GM parts, Heads, Cam, and gaskets and bolts for $1000.00. By the way, you don't need roller rockers for your set up, stock ones will work fine. Take the money and upgrade something else. Good luck on your build whatever you decide, it will still be fun

    good aftermarket rockers will net him some impressive horse power..you dont need them but i would upgrade that shit
