arrest me red- 2002 z28 camaro
what to do next
Well. I'm lost for what to do next. I have a 2002 z28, I've put some money into it. Now just trying to figure out what to do next. I bought my car about a year ago and it already had a ws6 style hood with RAM air intake, 80mm bbk tb. Recently I had pacesetter long tube headers and a y pipe installed. With that install I found out the car was already tuned. Had a new motor and transmission installed and already had cat-back Slp loudmouth exhaust. (Haven't been under the car) so with all that and money not being a major issue, what next? This car is my daily driver sometimes,(I work the same job with my brother, usually he drives) but I'd still like to be able to keep it that way. my goal is about 450 HP.

Subframe connectors. And your Z28 has a WS6 hood on it? How does it look? Did you get an elevated upper radiator mount to better match the hood to the air filter? Pics?

I will post pics later. The hood looks damn sexy imo. Many people have given me compliments on it. It has an intake box (ugly) that sits flush with hood scoops.

I personally would build the suspension and work on upgrading the drive-drain since you plan on adding power later down the road.
- sub-frame connectors
- relocation brackets for the lower control arms
- lower control arms
- torque arm
- pan hard bar
- upgrade the rear end (9" / S60 / 12 bolt)
- shocks if you want better handling
The options are pretty endless. All depends on how deep your wallet is.

It's not fun coming out of your pocket for suspension, but I agree....Beef up your suspension alittle.

okay i found some side profile pics. currently my car is in a dark garage that is horrible for pics (already tried). as a quick estimate, if i were to drop 1500 on suspension, what could i get, what would be the best buy? Sorry for the noob-ish questions! Also particular recommended brands? websites for product?

Pretty much everything I listed but the rear end. That's about 2500 in itself. UMI products. They are a sponsor. Look for the link in the sponsor tab up top. You won't get Koni shocks, but you can probably swing Bilsteins, which is the next best.

Not so much noticeable in control, but many have commented that SFC will greatly decrease, if not eliminate, T-top rattle. Also, it will help prevent the dimple on the quarter panel just behind the doors.
Strengthens the car. Helps prevent body twist on launch also, giving more torque to the rear axle!

Well. From the sounds of it that'll be next on my list. By chance, does anyone see it worth it putting an aftermarket intake manifold on? I've gotten both sides

Your LS6 is just fine. If you plan on getting a decent size cam and heads, then maybe I'd consider an upgrade to a FAST. They are pricey though.

Well. You say ls6 but mine is a ls1. I'm missing the connection. Is it a ls6 intake on a stock ls1? I have been thinking about get a larger cam but I'm looking for a happy middle between daily driver and performance. But I've read you need a stall converter, since I have an automatic. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong!! All my friends are into tuners. So advice from them is rarely informative. Hence, joining a website with people who are more knowledgeable in this genre
I'm here to learn!

No worries. We have a lot of patience here, compared to other LS websites. And wait 'till some of your tuner friends ride around in a V8, RWD car. That will change them forever! Unless your tuner friends are the type with money, and they are tuning 800 HP Supras and cars like that.
