weiand street warrior
Does anyone have any experience with the Weiand composite Street Warrior manifold. the stats look good on it but real world experience is always better

Ugh, this intake is still in testing phase. There are some back to back testing done, and it doesnt look promising to me. Look it up at the other site.

I'm guessing it will flow close to the same as the ls6 but cost more.

Weiand claims that is put 30 rwhp and 25 rwtqwmore than than a stock LS2 intake and throttle body. who knows

Comparing it to a STOCK LS2 intake is not what people want to see, nor care about.
It is supposed to compete with, its competitor. FAST.
In my eyes that intake is junk. Took them damn near 3 years to make it, then they wanna compare it to a Stock intake, that in all reality is a crap intake. Comparing it to even a LS6 would have been better IMO.

I don't see why they just don't copy the FAST and make it one piece.

Why? Why would one buy the same exact intake, but cant be split to be ported WAY easier? It would be the same price, and the porting capabilities would be diminished. See no benefits from that what so ever.
The Street Warrior runs out of breathe up top. That was known from the get go. The testing I saw just proved it. It better pick up ALOT, ALOT of HP and TQ down low to run out of breathe like that.
Thanks, Ill stick with my FAST 92 for now

good idea. there has to be a reason everyone runs FAST on the cars and not a Weiand

i think they screwed up trying to make this intake a one piece .the way fast did it is much easier to mold.

Cost savings to build it. I find it hard nobody can undrecut the pricing of the manifold. It's an $800 dollar manifold! Besides they might have a patent on the split design. I'm half tempted to take the project on myself.
The fact that it comes apart also makes it much easier to copy. Cast the internals in plaster, pull it out and you have the negative mold already.Last edited by azfrc; 07-18-2009 at 10:53 AM.
