    Water in intake

I must be a common problem but it rained hard the other day and some water must of got sucked up because my check engine light was flashing then my idle rpms went from 900 to 400 and my car was shaking i was like holy fuck. Then it went back to normal and was fine the check engine light stayed on until i raced a bone stock WS-6 who thought he would win cause my T/A doesnt have ram air. The water must be out of my motor cause the light went off and the car runs actually a little smoother it just feels newer.

the water probably knocked some of the junk out of your engine and at first the water probably freaked out the sensors

water in the alternator or another electrical component goofs up the PCM with those intermitant crazy signals causing those rpm fluctuatuions. Usually caused by a poor battery ground but in your case its obvious it was the H20.

About 2 years ago, I got stuck in a flash flood, water up to the bottom of the doors, it was lowered about an inch. It sucked up the water, hydrolocked, and threw a rod out both sides of the bottom of the block. Insurance put a noisy junk yard motor back in it, and then ended up rebuilding that one because I kept complaining about the piston slap. Never thought that would happen!

wow that sucks you'd think the insurance company would have to put a brand new one in it not some s****y one in. Sorry to hear that.

I think they did it tp keep from totaling the car, plus they said they were only obligated to replace it with a like motor (75000 miles). In the end the motor was like new, very strong, and not a hint of piston slap, but took forever dealing with the dealer and insurance company.

I would spend some time on figuring out where the water came from and doing whatever it takes to stop it from doing it again. I don't think you realize how lucky you were. It doesn't take much water to hydrolock a motor then BOOM you're looking for a new motor.
