Did you get in any 1/4 mile passes with the lid by chance?

Even if there is a difference, do you really think the few horses is worth extra money??

just gotta ask youself if you want something good for your car or the absolute best?

but even the best possible lid route is gonna cost just as much with one of the ram air sealing kits that are out there, even then paying possibly more with the kit and lid and still more than likely being a touch under a Volant kit

What i dont get is, when i put a lid on my 01 SS a few years ago it made a whistle noise on cold start up. It was very loud with just a lid and K&N filter, now on my 01 Z i have the Lid, Smooth Bellow, Ported Throttle Body and FRA mod and nothing. Makes me feel that i dont have as good flow like my 01 SS did. Maybe it was the hood scoop on that car although i wasnt too happy on the way it pulled the air in and spun it around to the front but i guess it flowed better either way.

Nah, with LT headers and no cats I cant hear it now but when I first put my volant on I could hear the nose of the car sniff, if I tapped the pedal. I can still do it now, if I am idling and have it in neutral if you tap the pedal the nostrils make a sniffing sound sucking the air in. Ive done it for a few friends who arent really into muscle cars and get a kick out of that little shit
