    Volant

The volant fits ok it doesnt hold the radiator for shit, so I added a couple extra bolts and its not bad now. The performance I noticed a little at higher rpms(3000+) The best part is the sound from it.

I didn't install it personally, had a tech put it on along with some other stuff years ago and I'm pretty sure its on wrong. I think it was cut wrong or somthing. Either way I'm over it.

All Volant intakes systems are molded with a high-grade X-Link polyethylene material to insulate the air box from conducting as much heat as would metal. These kits are designed to deliver a dramatically increased volume of air. Volant air intake systems increase performance up to 18 horsepower and 40 pounds of torque!

Includes Hi-Flow Velocity Air Box! Volant's Cool-Air kits, with their Hi-Flow Velocity Air Boxes are designed to pull cold air from outside the engine compartment to shield the new high performance reusable cotton gauze filter from the engines heat. Leaving an exposed filter in the engine compartment draws the heat from the engine, meaning the hotter it gets the less oxygen there is, it makes your engine work that much harder to breath. Usually, much larger than stock, the boxes are designed to deliver a dramatically increased volume of air.

I have this kit on mine, and also recomend it, It looks Awesome and performs just as well... I'm assuming i had the same problem as one of the above ppl stated with the radiator but also with 2 bolts it was fixed.

I believe all force air causes turbulance, it might not make a difference. Just a thought. Also I didnt install the block off.

turbulance may not be the correct term for it. . . i dont know the science behind it of what happens . . i just know many claim having both is not any improvement in performance over having one or the other

Really? Im looking at buying a volant very soon. Can you hear a loud ass vacuum of air entering your engine or something?

Urban myth.............do a search function on the ssra. One of the members tested this theory at the track and had no loss of power or decreased track times..................turbulance problem is not a problem
