    valve cover question

Hey guys...I don't have an LS1 but i'm asking this question on behalf of my friend who is self-proclaimed computer illiterate.

He just had his mechanic install a set of Dart cylinder heads on his '98 Z28. The mechanic is now telling him that he needs a set of center bolt valve covers that will still allow him to bolt up his stock coils. Does such a thing exist, and if so, could someone please provide some links. Thanks for any help.

Yeah I believe there on the 00-02 F-bodies, correct me if I'm wrong as I have a 98 also. I know they swapped the valve cover bolt pattern later on.

97 and 98 were the only LS1s to have perimeter bolt valve covers.

So if my friend bought center bolt valve covers for the later model LS1, what would his options be for mounting his stock coils?

He can either fab something up or I beleive they make an adapter for the valve cover to be mounted on a center bolt style head.

along with the centerbolt valve covers, you get the 99-up brackets to hold the coils onto the valve covers is all.
Cold Air Intake, Muffler Delete, Vinci High Performance Dual Valve Springs, Hardened Pushrods, Yella Terra 1.85 Rockers, Some Hydropdipped Stuff, Strut Tower Brace, Some SS Badges, boost/vacuum gauge, fuel pressure gauge, some checkered stripes, drilled/slotted rotors, ZL1addons Stealth wickerbill, Ruxifey LED side markers

I'll PM you a link for him to get a set. Depending on which covers he gets he'll have to redo his pcv system. 99 f-body covers will be a direct replacement with coil brackets. ls6 covers will be missing a pcv port on one of the valve covers.
