Unknown Part and PCV Stuff
My car started run like crap yesterday and when I pulled over I noticed the pcv valve was no longer connected. Well I tried to reattach the hose and made it home alright. This morning I started looking around and found lots of things that were either not there or broken. Any help would be appreciated. If you live in the Houston area pm me. Pics are from my cell phone, sorry.
I found this just sort of hanging there with what looks like two broken hoses. I don't know where the hoses go or what it is.
I felt around behind the manifold and found this not connected to anything. Anyone know what this is or where it should go?
And I know this goes to the valve cover. What can I do to fix this?
and it looks broken.

Triple Black- 1998 Trans Am WS.7 Vert
Wow, sorry to hear about your troubles. I'm no mechanic by any stretch of the imagination so all I could think of was that those looked like part of a vacuum system. As for where they go, no idea. I'll forward the pics over to a mechanic that's a friend of the family and see if he can help out. Good luck!

It is from the air system and you might need to feel behind the intake where the MAP sensor is and see if someone plugged it off. If you have your car inspected already I would just delete everything all together.
I would go ahead and replace the PCV as well.

Ok pic 2 looks like a vapor canister solenoid:goes from gas tank to vapor canister you can find where it goes by tracing the lines coming out of gas tank.
Pic 3 Is a "oneway" vacuum connector only lets vacuum flow one way.
Pic 4 looks like the PCV valve they usually connect to the valve cover or the intake plenum.
Also in the very first pic the relay with the three hoses maybe the vacuum relay for the heater /ac controls. Not sure though but if you take the parts to your local auto parts they can usually look up the numbers in the part and tell you exactly what they are and where they go. Hope this helps good luck.

I'n not sure how it is in your state but in mine I can walk into any auto parts dealer and have them look up any part off my 01 Camaro. The dealers here don't usually charge for asking questions in thier part divisions. But I do agree if you have to buy parts from the dealer they are very expensive.
But can't hurt to check since there is obviously something bad with how that car will run without those parts connected.
