I have an SLP underdrive pulley for my TA, works great and it revs faster, havent had any problems with it so I don't know why they would say that they are not good for a street car.

For whatever its worth, I always felt that the hp you possibly free up with underdrive pulleys just doesnt warrant the money you pay for them.

not for an expensive one like ATI I was planning on going ATI for an UD pulley and I came to the same conclusion not worth the 400$ minimum that you pay for one... ASP on the other hand is just as good and half the price... I'm putting one on at the same time as my heads/cam/clutch combo might as well free up some extra ponies since you have to take the stock one off anyway... its good for anywhere between 5-10rwhp and people say you gain throttle response aswell... *a good trait for the street in my opinion*

If I remember they were BBK and summitracing brand?
I havent looked at them in a while or it might of been only LT1 but I cant imagine that the LS1 would of been a lot more.

bah for an extra 40$ you can get an ASP from a different vendor... to each his own but I know where I'm spending my money...

how did you get the pulley off for the alternator I got the puller but I can't get the bolt off, put the car in forth couldn't get the crank bolt off either going to just wait and get an impact gun to lazy to keep going at it. but when I try with the alternator the pully just spins on the still belt.

For home use I would suggest 4-6 hp with a 20-30 gallon tank that would run any impact or air ratchet no problem. An air grinder is a different story. Don't get one of those oil free comps either,to dam loud in my opinion. Air tools make life much easier. Good luck!

Oh ya, anything over 90 psi with a regulator will run your 1/2 drive impact just fine.

Slowing the accessories down will also theoretically make them last longer.
