    Underdrive Pulleys

Are they over rated or are they worth the 200 dollars? Any real gains?

most people say they're only worth it after you've done all the other boltons. should be worth ~8 rwhp. but from what i hear install is a bitch, unless you're doing a cam at the same time.

In the big picture I do think they can give you a little HP and that is meaning like 5 to 7 HP. Now what you also need to be aware of though is that you are also going to slow down your alternator and give your car less charge. Some handle that fine but just make sure to be aware of this especially if you have any aftermarket stereo or electronics.

Anyway, probably as mentioned before I would say do other bolt ons first and then when you are trying to do everything you can to get more HP then consider an under drive.

Got my ASP pulley in 2000 slightly used with belts for $200 shipped. Install was pretty easy and I've never had a problem with it. I don't have a quantified HP number increase as other mods were done before she went back on the dyno. However, the engine seemed to pick up revs quicker after the pulley install...

I personally went with one because it was really the only thing left without craking open the motor. At the time I did't plan on cracking the motor but as we all know plans change. I'd say its worth it I put down some darn good numbers 358hp 369ft lbs for my mods(check my sig)
