typhoon intake 17.7 more hp than ls6???
hey guys im looking to buy an intake/tb and i came across this info on ebay from high performance heaven california. typhoon 85mm ads 17.7 more hp on the dyno than an ls6. is anyone running one of these? they look bad ass and they are alot cheaper than say a fast intake. heat soak is it really an issue?

All aftermarket do not fit like OEM.
I had hell troubles with my FAST. I would pay for the typhoon personally.

Trick Flow head package?
I would rather get it over with the first time and buy a FAST 92/92 or a used 90/90. They are the same intake basically. Hard to find a used 90/90 at a good price in my eyes. 200 bucks more will get you brand new. Its all about how much you want/can spend on a intake and TB.
92/92.

yes the t/f package. the cost for the package with a new oil pump water pump and a timing chain has just about eat me up. i know i need to upgrade my intake and i hate to have to come back later to do it but damn 1200 more!! i guess im looking for something a little cheaper than the fast. what size of tb do a need for this kit ? thanx

Then buy a LS6. You will some on the table, but it wont be astronomical. Put your LS6 on it, and save for the FAST. An intake swap is nothing.
A TB for FAST is going to be 90mm or 92mm. If you do go ahead with the FAST intake, I wouldnt buy the FAST TB. They are over priced for what it is, and the 90's had some problems. I think most of the 92's were fine?
Buy a PTM or Nick williams TB. Cheaper and are nice pieces. I went PTM black powered coated.

I agree with hi-po, If were you I'd use the intake you have now and hold out and save up for the Fast intake and put it on later.....intake swap is pretty quick and easy. + there are several tb's out there to choose from for less money, that will work just as good as the Fast tb.
with that said, I have some friends running BBK aluminum intakes that are quick as hell, and if you take your time and look for awhile you might even get a great deal on good used parts.
