I would think the Pacestter Y works better with the Pacesetter headers because its made SPECIFICALLY for the headers. Both Y's do the same thing anyways.

So your pacesetter Y banged a lot? What did you have to do to stop it? what a PITA!

I had a problem that sounded like it was banging on the floor but it wasn't. It was a loose header bolt. fixed it and now they're great!

you can buy a 40 dollar y pipe hanger from mufflex or just let it beat itself in which is what i did. put the headers on 2 weeks ago and the banging is almost gone.

My pacesetter Y doesn't bang anything. If you adjust it right it wont hit a thing.

that's the key. You can't just bolt it in and go. You have to play with the pipes and get everything adjusted just right and it won't bang. The most crucial part of the whole system is the angle of the I-pipe going over the axle. Loosen everything up all the way back to the axle and twist the I-pipe a little bit to change the angle. After you have good clearance everywhere wedge blocks of wood at the closest points and tighten everything down. Knock the blocks of wood out and you should be good to go.

How exactly would I heat it up? That's kinda why i wanna go with TSP. If i spend almost $1000 on headers and a y pipe for a meager 20 horsepower i shouldn't have to fuck with shit like that.

    I got mine from www.neweraperformanceparts.com
Some of the cheapest prices out there. And I think they are a sponsor on this site as well.
