TSP 1 7/8 vs Kooks 1 7/8
Title basically explains the dilemma. What headers are you guys running and how much rwhp increase difference will there be between the two? For a few hundred cheaper, will TSPs be my best bet?
Btw I am going Vortech V-9 G-Trim supercharger w/o aftercooler on my car, if that will make any difference on power gains between the two.
Thanks

I have Kook's 1-7/8" LT's with their 3" ORY. No mounting issues. No clearance issues and I'm lowered on Strano's. I run 8psi on my Procharger and made 500rwhp with a meth kit and FMIC.

I doubt you will see any power difference between the two sets.
The Kooks will last longer than the car.
If your car is in the garage most of the time....TSP will too.

That's a VERY subjective question IMO. It will all depend on heat, weather (snow/rain), etc. Timing can vary vastly I would suspect.

I have tsp, got 358 rwhp out of the set up but I regret not going with the kooks

TSP's are a bitch to install and require taking out the Drivers side engine mount, Idk about Kooks 1 7/8.. I had the TSP headers on my old Camaro for about 5 months, they saw rain quite a few times and they looked like crap before I sold the car.

Kooks = quality. You get what you pay for when it comes to headers.
Otherwise x2 what luos said.

kooks is stainless and will last forever.....if you have the money buy the kooks. If money is a problem buy TSP. If you have access to someone that can weld you a Y-pipe up then go with stainless ebay headers for ~$200.

Thanks for the replies, I will contact TSP soon. I heard that they are going to start making their LTs stainless, but I don't know anything on how much the price will go up from $500, if any.

I think the price is staying the same. I have the tsp 1 7/8 the driver said was a pain you have to jack the motor up but you cant beat the price. You wont see any difference in power between the 2 if there is it will be 1-2 horse power. Mine doesn't see bad weather and they look brand new. Been on the car for 3kish miles. Save the 600 bucks and go tsp.

i have had tsp almost right after they came out so about 3 years or so and they still look like new. i put down just over 400 rwhp with them and a cam. but my car dosnt come out much in the time i have had the car after putting them on i maybe have 3k on it. i also didnt have all the issues putting them in as all the other posted. you just have to do as Mr. Luos and drop the moter or jack it way up. i dont have draging issues eather and i am droped on stranos as well

Black- 2001 Trans AM WS6
I am going the the TSP headers myself but the main reason is to save the money. My WS6 is my daily driver but I am confident they will hold up and look nice for a long time. I will say this, go with the stainless steel ones if you can afford them because they will last longer.

Thats what they said on ls1tech. They were going to try and keep the price the same.

Stainless steel prices are way down, but I don't see that happening. Then their other brand of headers would be obsolete unless they reduced the cost on those significantly. Then, if they did that, everyone would ask...why weren't they that cheap always?
Highly doubtful IMO.

If that's the case, it would be a great deal. Quality company at a great price.
