true duals, are they supposed to be this loud???
I had hooker lt's tsp oryp and hooker cat back. I went to my uncles shop and turned the y pipe into an x pipe by cutting the y off and fitting the 3in x pipe in its place and put 18 in bullets directly on the xpipe. Ok, I didnt have any extra pipe to make turndowns so we left it straight out the back till I can get the peices and put them on. I drive to work crusing at about 22-2500 rpm and the sound is so loud the center console is vibrating and I can feel it in the seats and steering wheel. Im gonna have to do something about it. Does anyone know if just turndowns would help the sound some, or am I going to have to run pipes over the rearend and out the back in order to live with it??? Ive had 5.0 mustangs with 2chamber flows and turndowns but dayumm this is rediculous. Its got to be 3 times that loud!!!

I have turn downs drop right before the axel. I will say it is very loud a wot for me. But when at idle and at the rpm you state you state it is quiet. M6 or A4??

maybe its where you placed your bullets... Are they right at the very rear of the pipe?

yes, they are at the xpipe on the pass side of the car. the inner bullet is about 1in to the pass side of the driveshaft, and about 6in in front of the rearend kinda slightly going downwards in the rear. I put turndowns on the car last night and it helped tremedously!!! The console barely rattles some when taping the brake enough to disengage the cruise at 80 or so and around 24-2500rpm. BTW its and auto, regretably with a stock stall and cam for now. I bet a 3-3500 stall and terex cam would have it sounding like a beast in town, but Im afraid of loosing mileage on the interstate. I drive 110 miles a day 4 days a week to work.

dynomax 18in cases like 22overall. 4in round. Looks like glasspacks on outside. Sounds good with td's but may still want to go out back with em. I have 3in mandrel all the way so 2.5 xpipe and bullets may tone it down some but Idk???

That was exactly how mine was. It was way louder than any tsp setup out there
What really quiets it down is adding more pipe, I went over the axle and it made it much more livable. I have added cats to quiet it down more. I would suggest going with a bigger muffler, I wish I would have.

Yea i was thinking about it but got word that 4 inch fits better. Im gonna go over the axle and mount it where it looks like a cat back from the ass end... hopefully it will turn out good lol
