I'll be looking through Summit or Jegs and see something for f-body and I look further, and it turns out to be 67-69, etc...

4" is to big for over the axle. no need to bump up to 4" to begin with...

The guy that did my exhaust has done f-bodys with 4" catback over the axle, but not duals.

I wasn't going to post these pics because I have a ton of oil all over the undercarriage due to my supercharger create an excessive amount of crankcase pressure, and there is a ton of mudd under it from the dirt roads I live on. Oh, and I also have not finished painting the undercarriage flat black.

The pics aren't the greatest since my friends don't know how to take use a camera.

Well anyway, these are my TD's. They are made from "304" polished stainless steel. Every piece has been fabricated, even the X-pipe. All tubing is 16 gauge mandrel bent. I am by no means a welder, so try to over look them.

I have more ground clearance than any cat-back on the market and no parts of the floor have been modified except for a small dimple for the passenger pipe under the pass. seat.

Coming soon will be better focused pics and some shots of the ground clearance on my lowered car. Let me know what you all think.

Driverside ball flange has been corrected since pic was taken.

This short torque arm brace allows less clearance for exhaust than the factory sheetmetal brace.

UMI TA relocation bracket was used, although not necessary.

PYPES M-80 mufflers. Hangers have since been moved for a cleaner look.

Yes, the exhaust is close to the drivershaft and rear, but never should these two components ever get this close unless you are launching the car off of a bridge. Even so, there is a fingers width clearance throughout it, which is more than adequite.

Any straight through design muffler will give you a nice deep, smooth tone just as long as it is not a bullet style.

What do bullets sound like? Like open exhaust?

Be careful what you wish for.

I had 3" duals over the axle...until I put a 9" in. Then it wouldn't fit. Had to take it down to 2.5".

The duals are probably a touch louder.
But not by much. Not much to keep the sound down on either set-up.

The duals would probably be a better performer though. But again, not by a whole lot.

they just are not willing to put work into. Im having the same problem with my 02 its possible you just have to find someone willing to do a little work. Also if you put a pan hard relocation bar on it, it will open more room for the TDs.

    Hi Berry.

I had a few questions I wanted to ask you about your car. And also what exhaust shop you used for your setup. I also live in Oklahoma and might like to use them. If you get a chance, please email me at prozach3200@yahoo.com.

    Thanks,

    Zach

Has anyone tried to use a stock dual exhaust system from a 02-04 corvette on their stock ls1?
