    Is this true about pacesetters?

    http://www.americanmusclemotorsports...OD&ProdID=1477

It says that they only provide a 7-9 hp gain??? I was hoping somewhere around 20...

9-10 hp at the wheels isn't too shabby really, if it were at the crank it would suck though. You have to remember stuff like headers isn't actually "making" more horsepower it's just freeing up what you already have

They are all about the same for the most part. Just mainly the fit and finish.

All headers will dyno within 5hp of each other. Btw...7-9hp is a bit low for LTs.

What a joke! They are usually good for >20rwhp. I don't think american muscle motorsports has a clue! For one they are selling the BLACK PAINTED headers for $449.99, when you can buy them CERAMIC COATED for $369! I bet they have the pacesetter shorty headers mixed up with the longtubes. Why on earth would you buy longtubes for a 7-9 hp gain, when you could buy JBA shorties and get 10 rwhp. This is a stupid ad!

    It has a big wing!

Can't be true...I want to remember that some mag (I think GM High Tech) dynoed a black LS1 Z28 all stock. Then installed LTs,ORY and a catback or cutout...They had clearly got over 20hp gain from the install...nothing else...

I have also read too much on different boards over the years claiming the same kind of dyno proven gains....

Oh well...I have Pacesetters sitting in my bed room right now...Wish I had the money to make a dyno run for a before and after..My SS is all stock right now BTW....

I understand how manufacturers "over rate" the HP claims but,I have always heard that LTs are in the 20+hp gain area....

LTs ORY and a catback, you siad it. LTs all alone are not worth 20+ rwhp, that's an insane number

I dyno'd around a 15hp gain with headers...tuning on top of that was another 12 hp. Don't leave out the tune for max gains and best driveability....

Even if for some reason they do only give you 10rwhp...they are a great and needed supporting mod if you ever do H/C or FI. I unfortunetly can only have shorties because of my location ...so if for nothing more put them on your TA for me

I'm gonna leave this alone, shit talkin cock sucker, you reference more than just LTs and try to use it as an argument for LTs and talk shit on me? You're right what has this site become. Just a dyno tune can pull in 15-20 hp, how much of your 30 does that leave for the LTs? I'm out of here until people can learn to discuss something without being fuckholes this shit gets old
