    Too Much Rasp

What can i do to remove the rasp from the exhuast? I bought the Borla XR-1 to replace the SLP but wanted to know if i can just weld the Borla in front of the SLP or just replace it? Ohh by the way I have FLP LT's, ORY with the SLP catback. Please help going to the exhuast shop this weekend and need some info. I already bought the XR-1.

Its gonna sound much better with the borla. SLP's are way too raspy imo. If you still dont like the sound, you could put some small resonators in the y pipe. see how you like it with just the borla at first.

Buddy of mine didn't like his loudmouth with the ORY, so he added the cats back in and it eliminated the tinny raspy sound. Not sure if you wanted to go that route. I have the high flows on my Borla, no raspyness at all.

Do you have the LM1 or LM2? The LM2 is not nearly as raspy. Its a more mellow race sound.

Saw the thread title and knew what exhaust was the problem.

Replace entire catback with Magnaflow. If that is too costly, replace the resonator with a Magnaflow muffler.

It was obvious at first glance. The LM sounds good by itself. Its a loner, it likes no other exhaust parts.

with magnaflow part #14419 its the same size as the slp 4" . i called slp and they said 4.5'' was as big as i could go without hiting the floorboard. i also called magnaflow and they said that 14419 was a strait through muffler that most likley wont quiet it down much at all ? can you fit an oval one in there? like maby a borla #40943?

I'm running 3" true dauls with super 44's flowmasters, it had abit too much drone for me so I got a set of dynomax 3" bullets ($18 each) put them right off the headers and it brought tone and volume right to where I wanted it
