There is a couple of things you can try. 1st one is check on ebay. I found this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Lokar...item4cf2c57524
I don't know if it is compatible but it looks like. Contact the seller and see if he ships to Germany.
Does the car has traction control? There are 2 different cables.
The other site I was looking is GMPartsdirect.com. They are a sponsor here. Shoot them an email and see if they ship to Germany.
The last option is have a member look it up for you and pay them to ship it to you. Now of course this is kinda fuzzy because you don't know the person but it's an option. He can find the part locally and check how much is the shipping. You can pay him with paypal or something like that. I won't mind doing something like that if you feel comfortable with it.
I was looking at GMpartsdirect.com and they have the cable listed for about $20. You just have to figure out the shipping cost and add it to that. Give them a call or contact them by email.

thanks for the suggestions, the one on ebay looks good and they ship worldwide. but 50 bucks seems expensive...
gmpartsdirect don't ship overseas. guess i'll try gm here in germany first, though they usually are crazy expensive.

Are you sure it's not closing the whole way ? Might need to turn in the idle screw a little to open the blade up some.

Have you disconnected it and pulled on the cable with your hands to see if it has resistance?

my repair guys said i should look into a new one, they usually are right about their stuff. i'll check the cable nevertheless, maybe it's the tb or the pedal after all.
due to the conversion rate ($ < €) and pricing in general it's often cheaper to buy overseas and have it sent here.Last edited by hamburger68; 02-05-2011 at 12:36 AM. Reason: le typo
