I don't remember exactly but I believe it's either 75mm or 78mm and I would not buy a 80mm tb as you will see almost no gain at all if any.

Unless you intend on getting a different intake manifold I would just keep the stocker but port it out. The LS1/LS6 manifolds have an 80mm opening so if you go bigger than that you will need a spacer that reduces the TB volume back down to match the manifold which makes the bigger TB useless. I’m pretty sure the stock one is 75mm and most people port them to about ~78mm. In my opinion even buying an 80mm one is somewhat a waist since you can port the stock one to almost the same size.

EDIT: I just checked out the links... that’s not a bad price at all but i would still stick with the stocker. The one where you send yours to them as a core and they send you a ported one isnt a bad idea. You won’t see much of a gain with either but with the ported one at least its OEM quality. As for the SLP cold air, I don’t think its worth the money at all. Some may say it is but I would just do the "free mods" to the car which includes cutting the bottom of the air box anyway which is almost as effective as the slp, plus its free so you cant beat that. Run a search for "free mods" if you are unsure what I’m talking about.

Buy a bigger TB if you panning on fast intake.
If not. Just get a p&p TB from eBay. Cheaper than anywhere else.
A shop was charging me $100 for labor on the port job.
I bought it on eBay for $50-$60

Purchasing a 80mm throttle body is doing the same thing as porting, except taking it farther than a stocker can be ported. I do agree that having a oversized TB (like a 85mm or bigger) with a stock intake will eventually hit a plateu, but 80mm is fine. Any more air flow you can get into the engine, is some what of an improvment. Now, is the $/HP worth it, that's where the debate lies. IMO, for that price, the 80mm is worth it. It's what I plan on doing as well, but I want to keep all of my stock parts, so no eBay for me.
