    Thermostat Change

What kind of gains will I see from Changing out my factory T-stat to a 160 f. T-stat? Is it worth the $50.00?

    Thanks!

None what so ever... Worthless unless you change the fans to come on with the new stat..

u will have less chance of detonation and may pick up a couple hp on the highway. when ur in motion anything over 30mph your engine will be constantly running at around 170-175ยบ which is perfect for these cars. its only when you are idling that the temps will return to normal because u need to get your electric fans reprogrammed to come on sooner but this can be done at any time. just change the thermostat and then do the fans at any point in the future.

A handheld tuner or a performance shop with the tuning software can do it. PM our resident tuner, Frost. He can help.

This is one of the few good things a handheld is good for, but I will still just have a tuner do it for you.
