    swaping out my motor mounts for polyurathane ones...

    any one know how much room i can lift my motor up with out running in to problems? i want to lift it just enough to swap the mounts...

    looks like i'll have to drop my starter... i thought about dropping my front suspension but fuck that...

    The only things to watch out for while lifting the motor are a) the powersteering pressure line and b) the intake hitting the cowl.

    I didn't come close to either of those being a problem, but some people have.......


    Oh and, yeah, drop the starter, move the ac compressor and move the alternator.

    i didn't lift my motor that much, or maybe i did, didn't pay attention. All i really did was get the jack under there with a coupe of pumps to make sure i had something holding the engine. i wasn't going for height. i didn't have a problem at all.

    the only problem i had was getting things lined up with only one mount swapped. after some help from the shop i realized i should have had swapped both mounts first before tightening down.

    i spent hours trying to get the bolts free. i didn't have PB Blaster and WD40 wasn't helping. get your self a big ole can of PB Blaster and soak those bolts. My buddy and i spent all day on one side because of it. we had the swivel sockets out and every thing, ugh.

    GL hope yours goes better than mine, but then again when you fowl the threads and don't have chasers, you're screwed, . Oh well, at least i won't have to do it again, lol.
