I've never found exactly what gmp stock LS1 water pumps flow. Aftermarket belt driven LS1 water pumps like EMP Stewart Components claim flow as high as 140 gpm (without a thermostat). Most electric water pumps flow 35-55 gpm, depending on what brand you look at, and run $400-800. They claim to be 20% faster than stock, which would put stock somewhere around 25-30 (I assume). Electric water pumps free up some HP by reducing drag, but are too co$tly for most.

The electric water pump is a good addition when running an underdrive. The underdrive slows down the stock water pump. The other good idea is a constant pump speed in city traffic. It really does help keep your motor cool. Here in Central California that is important.
If nothing else it looks great under the hood!

An absolute must (cooling down) at the track for multiple runs at the 1/4 mile. Especially with your times.
