    stock throttle body or after market

    what is the opening of a stock LS1 tb? Would you suggest port and polishing or just buying an aftermarket tb?

    75mm stock.

    i would port and polist your own first and then if you are not satisfied then you should get an aftermarket one. there is a lot better things to spend $200 on then a throttle body unless you have a cam or heads or something major like that. i assume your car is pretty much stock?

    i would do neither.
    sometimes no gains have been reported after a port and polish. any gains afterwards are always very small.

    i have heard it helps with throttle response so i am going to give it a shot on my car espically because i have a 6 speed
