    Stage 8 Header Bolts

I'm gonna be installing my headers and y pipe in the next week and bought stage 8 bolts. My question is when some of you used stage 8 bolts did you guys use any of the locking hardware? or just the bolts?

I used the hardware just for peace of mind. it'll probably be ok without too as long as you get them torqued to specs n all that. plus use the gm gaskets they seal up better.
    have fun

Okay, one more question. Do you guys use anti-seize on the header bolts too? I know to use it on the spark plugs, but I wasn't sure bout the header bolts seein as I don't want them loosening themselves up

Sell your stage 8s, you don't need them. Put some antisieze on the stock bolts, with a stock gasket, torque them to spec and you'll be just fine.

hind sight being 20/20 that's what I should've done. Those locks are a pain in the ass to get on there and if you ever want to take them off again it's gonna be another pain. I bought stage 8's and just used the bolts. Probably should've reused my stockers.....they looked brand new.

I bought the stage 8's not realizing you can reuse stockers without any problems. I might take them back for a refund if the site I bought them from will let me. Thanks for that input cause that'll save me some money what with reusing stock gaskets and bolts. I'll just anti-seize the stockers if they do take em

I may be wrong but i think he meant to use a new stock gasket, not to use the original stock one.

If you already knew that then im a jackass sorry may a little too much

I didn't know they were that cheap. I might actually get one then. Do they have em out in stock or do you have to ask them to get them? Just get the stock replacements right?

IDK, the stage 8's are just a piece of mind thing IMO, i used them, and the locking hardware, and 30k miles later, you can still see them in the original place they were torqued to, so they have not turned out at all
