    SSAutoChrome headers

Whats a good off road Y-Pipe to use with these headers? I just purchased some of these headers and I would like some input about a good Y-Pipe that will fit.

The TSP and Pacesetter y-pipe are very similar. You will be fine with a TSP.

SSAutoChrome is what they were know by when they were selling on eBay. They're now called "XS Headers" and are no longer auctioned on eBay. You can get them via a sponsor on LS1Tech. Do a search and you'll find a couple of recent posts where the sponsor has chimed in. He has a couple different other products coming out soon that work with the headers (such as a catted Y and duals).

i have the SSAutoChrome LT's. No issues for me to date. i bought a 2-piece Pacesetter ORY, so i could have it modified to fit. worked great until i swapped the SLP LM for TSP TD's w/SLP LM resonators...

i got a brand new, uninstalled 3" Y pipe that came with the ssautochrome (xs) header system. the more i think about it the more i want to go to a true dual setup when i finally install the headers, in which case i wont need the y pipe. it's made of 321 grade (higher than most 304 grade systems) stainless steel. since it was sent with the headers as a kit, i'm sure it will fit better than buying another, lower quality y from some other company and trying to hook them up. also, why go with stainless headers and not get a stainless y to go with it? anyone who's interested pm me and let me know and we can talk about the price.

The headers sold on Ebay for like $250 are not SS Autochrome or XS headers. They are copies. Notice the notch in the flange. Anyways, the TSP Y won't work. I have XS headers and bought a TSP Y and it wouldn't fit without modifying it. There really is no Y pipe that does fit. Been rumored that the Jet Hot Y fits, it did for Tainted on LS1 tech I believe. The XS Y pipe doesn't fit either. I've read dozens of complaints on LS1 Tech about them not fitting. Here's a pic of what we did to the TSP Y to make it fit.
Whatever Y you use has to bend down right after the driverside collector. Fwiw, my friend has Jet Hot long tubes and a Jet Hot Y and his Y does bend like this, seems plausible that it may fit seeing as how the headers (XS and Jet Hot) both use the same design. The XS Y pipe is copied from the Pacesetter Y () so no wonder their is fitment issues.
